IncluSight: Visualizing Inclusivity(2024)
Inclusive Teaching is a critical topic in higher education. Despite the expertise of seasoned instructors, fostering change remains a complex challenge. I developed a tangible and actionable solution by utilizing visualization techniques to offer feedback on course syllabi, empowering instructors to enhance their teaching practices.
Privacy Concerns for Learning Analytics Among Instructors (2021)
How do instructors think of applications that are integrated into their daily teaching practices and context? This survey study found that there is a negative correlation between expected usefulness and their privacy concerns over student data.
ADHD Time Management (2021)
College students with ADHD struggles with time management. This design research surveyed existing time management tools and found areas of improvement that can help ADHDers to manage their time better.
Instructor and Student Perceptions on Learning Analytics (2020)
While the technical methods underpinning learning analytics (e.g. machine learning/AI) have been developed rapidly and used widely in higher education institutions, less attention has been paid to the human stakeholders. In this study, I interviewed instructors and students on their perspectives of ethical use of student data in the design space.
